Qingdao is the place in which I was born.
If you are local, feel free to stop by during my office hours to chat.

Hi, I am currently an associate professor with the School of Cyber Science and Technology at Shandong University (SDU) Qingdao Campus and supported by SDU Young Scholar's Future Program. Prior to joining SDU, I was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Singapore University of Technology & Design (SUTD). I worked with Dr. Paweł Szałachowski and Prof. Jianying Zhou on post-quantum distributed computing, e.g., blockchain consensus protocol. Prior to joining SUTD, I was a postdoctoral research associate at Lancaster University from Jan. 2018 worked with Dr. Bingsheng Zhang and Dr. Jan Willemson on cryptographic e-voting and zero-knowledge proof, etc. My postdoctoral works with my advisors are one part of Cybernetica and IOHK.

Before that, I passed my oral defense in Dec. 2017 and received my doctorate from Harbin Engineering University (HEU) in Mar. 2018, under the supervision of Prof. Chunguang Ma. During my doctoral program, I have been very fortunate to have worked with Prof. Steven Galbraith and Prof. Hong-Sheng Zhou, respectively, as a research assistant (and a joint Ph.D. program student) from Dec. 2015 - Oct. 2017. Further, I received the 2019 HEU Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award.

Research Interests: My primary research interests are cryptographic protocols, secure distributed computing, and privacy-enhancing technologies for real-world applications. Recently, specific topics include: computing and query on encrypted data, verifiable computation in outsourced environments, and password-based cryptography.

Please don't hesitate to email me if you are interested in my research. I'm looking for passionate and motivated students to drive my projects. (Basically, I could provide 0-2 doctoral student positions and 3-4 master's student positions from 2022.)

Publications

Generally, the list my publications can be found on DBLP, Researchgate, Schloar, IEEE, Web of Science, and (My List).
